The story

Modern Folk is the brainchild of Jayme Reaves, who has always had an interest in interiors, design, and practical beauty in the home but has spent much of her professional life teaching and started this work as a means to find better work-life balance.

Drawn to clean lines, organic shapes, natural materials, international influences, and depth of colour, Jayme strives for affordable quality and beauty in her pieces and loves to discover the stories they tell in the making marks, materials, age, and patina.

Assisted occasionally by friends and colleagues with additional experience and expertise, the work of Modern Folk is growing into a collective endeavour based in the Weymouth & Portland area of the Dorset coast.
